About the Institution
The Government Ayurveda Dispensary functioning under Maravanthuruthu Village Panchayat was established in 2014. In 2022, the institution was upgraded as an AYUSH Health and Wellness Centre. Currently, 06 employees including a doctor, pharmacist, attender, sweeper, yoga instructor, and multipurpose health worker are providing services to the public.
Services Available
Free Treatment and Medicine Distribution:
Completely free consultation and medicines are provided for patients.
Special OP:
Wednesday: Distribution of Ayurvedic medicines for postnatal care.
Thursday: Lifestyle Disease Screening Clinic
Friday: Palliative Home Care
Panchayat Schemes:
Various health and welfare schemes related to the Village Panchayat are implemented effectively.
Yoga Classes:
Free yoga classes are organized in the wards through AYUSH Yoga Clubs for the health protection of the public. Free yoga training is available at the Maravanthuruthu Village Panchayat Hall from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM.
Communicable Disease Prevention:
Effective preventive medicines are distributed to prevent the spread of communicable diseases.
Medical Camps and Awareness:
Various medical camps and health awareness classes are conducted as per the directions of the Village Panchayat and the District Medical Officer of the Indian Systems of Medicine Department.
Attestation of Certificates.
Various types of official certificates are attested and issued (Attestation of certificates).
Medical Certificates.
Medical certificates are issued as required.
