Scheme Description

Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (VB-G RAM G) is a scheme under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) that ensures 125 days of employment in a financial year for rural families. Along with increasing rural employment opportunities, the scheme also gives priority to water conservation, natural resource conservation, greening, agricultural development, rural infrastructure development, and activities that address climate change.

Who is Eligible?

Family members who have completed 18 years of age, reside in rural areas, and are willing to undertake unskilled manual work can register for this scheme.

Benefits for Special Categories:
Special Rozgar Guarantee Cards are provided to Single Women, Persons with Disabilities, persons above 60 years of age, Transgender Persons, PVTG category, and Released Bonded Labourers.

How Employment is Provided

• Employment applications can be submitted directly at the Village Panchayat or through digital systems.
• Employment must be provided within 15 days of receiving the application.
• As far as possible, employment will be provided in the applicant's own ward or within a 5-kilometre radius.
• Preference will be given to women, and at least one-third of the total beneficiaries will be women.

Wage Distribution

• Wages are directly distributed through the bank/post office account.
• Wages must be made available within a maximum of 15 days after completion of the work.
• If wages are delayed, the beneficiary is entitled to receive the prescribed delay compensation as per law.
