The Government Veterinary Dispensary functioning under the Village Panchayat is an important institution providing basic veterinary services to livestock, pets and birds in the Marvanthuruthu area. A total of 4 employees, including one Veterinary Surgeon, are serving at the dispensary.
Our Mission
*To conduct diagnosis and treatment of diseases of livestock, pets and birds.
*To implement preventive vaccinations against various animal diseases in accordance with government guidelines.
*To provide artificial insemination and breeding services for livestock such as cows and buffaloes.
*To effectively implement disease prevention measures in situations where infectious diseases occur.
*To provide assistance in obtaining insurance services for livestock and pets.
*To provide documents related to insurance benefits to farmers in a timely manner.
*To implement activities to control diseases transmitted from animals to humans in cooperation with other departments and institutions.
*To organize infertility treatment camps, Gokulam Mission camps and other programmes for the prevention of infertility in livestock.
*To conduct awareness and knowledge dissemination programmes related to the animal husbandry sector.
*To provide necessary project reports and technical assistance to farmers for self-employment schemes.
*To provide necessary technical support for formulating and implementing the animal husbandry projects of the Village Panchayat.
