The public can submit complaints and seek redressal through various government mechanisms regarding issues such as complaints related to services in Local Self Government Institutions, corruption, abuse of power, delay in services, and licence-related problems.
⚖️ 1. Local Ombudsman
OMBUDSMAN FOR LSGIs
It is a higher judicial mechanism where complaints can be submitted regarding corruption, irregularities, abuse of power, dereliction of duty, etc. against elected representatives or officials of Local Institutions. The head of this institution is a person holding the rank of a High Court Judge.

LSGI TRIBUNAL
It is a legal mechanism through which appeals can be submitted against decisions and orders of the Panchayat Administrative Committee or Secretary, denial of licences, cancellation of building construction permits, etc. The headquarters of the Tribunal is in Thiruvananthapuram.

Problems such as delay in Panchayat services and denial of services can be brought to the attention of the Chief Minister online. The complaints submitted are considered and resolved within the stipulated time.
📱 4. K-SMART Portal
K-SMART CITIZEN PORTAL
It is a single-window online service system of the Local Self Government Department. Complaints related to services can be submitted without directly visiting the Panchayat office, and their progress can be checked in real time.
🔍 5. Vigilance Department
VACB
Serious issues such as demanding bribes, financial irregularities, and misuse of government funds can be directly reported to the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau.
